Nike Oluwa-Somoye, a.k.a. Nikky, graduated with a BSc. in Agricultural
Economics from Wye College (University of London). Originally working in the
recruitment and business consulting business, placing job seekers searching for
work into reputable employment, as well as training soft skills. This was the
beginning for me in understanding what various organisations require to
succeed in meeting the needs of their customers, through the hiring of good staff. But this was just half of it. Having been asked to step in and run a catering
business, Hamptons, which was just managing to keep afloat, way back in 2007.
Due to my expertise in design and creativity I made the presentation of
Hamptons at each event key.

Thus the realisation for creativity, beauty and design of a space, for any
successful business was also key. I ensured Hamptons had a standard, not only in
the food they catered, but also in the staff that presented it, in the presentation of
their service at any event or function they attended, as well as constant training
of new staff. After Hamptons I was approach by Openhands in 2009, to aid also
in the restructuring of their event and décor business. It was here that I was
given the opportunity to display my creative talent to the fullest. Restructuring
and rebranding this company was dire at the time of my appointment, as they
were facing issues in, inventory management, staffing, accounting and company
management. I gave the company a complete overhaul in regards to operations,
designs and decor themes, deliverables and staff management.

Since then I have graduated with a Diploma of Professional Interior Design from
the British College of Interior Design, which has helped me to freelance my
interior design skills with estate agents, developers and individual.
